Terry James Cogdill
November 4, 2019
Terry James Cogdill, 39-year-old Ten Sleep resident, passed away on November 4, 2019 at his home.
Terry was born on February 8, 1980 in Casper, Wyoming, the only child of Terry Lee and Roberta "Bobbie" Kay (Harper) Cogdill. He was the long-awaited son his mother dreamed of. His birth was not without complications as he had to have a life-saving surgery soon after being born. This was the beginning of a life filled with doctors and medical procedures. His father worked in the oil industry which kept him away from home while he was providing for the needs of his family. This left Bobbie to care for Terry and his medical needs. She lovingly took on that responsibility and did the very best she could for him. Through his life he had 5 surgeries which replaced 3 of the valves in his heart, some of them more than once. He was an active child despite his medical condition.
The family moved to Worland where he excelled in Swimming, being on the Worland High School Swim Team. Terry graduated from Worland High School in 1999. He attended a Westwood College studying computer networking.
He married Shiloh and to this union was born Kane and Rainy. The couple later divorced. He later married Jessica Thomas who had two daughters herself, Jariah and Brianna. He later adopted Jariah as his own in 2009. They also divorced later.
Life was not without it's struggles for Terry. He overcame many of his trials and in the past few years was a great help to his mother and father.
Terry worked multiple jobs throughout his days, but his favorite was working at Oilfield Maintenance Service alongside his father.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his mother, Bobbie on October 23, 2019, Uncle Lewis John Cogdill and Aunt Brenda Jo Harper.
Survivors include his father, Terry Lee of Worland, children, Kane, Rainy, Jariah and Brianna and Uncle Jack (Pam) Harper of Lubbock, Texas.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 8, 2019 at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery where he will be laid to rest next to his mother.
