Thereasa Lynn Vilos
July 28, 1969 – September 9, 2022
Thereasa Lynn Vilos, 53, of Worland Wyoming passed away on September 9th, 2022. She was born on July 28th, 1969 to Frank T. Vilos and Ermina L. (Frost) Braun in Worland, Wyoming. Thereasa graduated from Worland High School and attended college at Northwest Community College in Powell, Wyoming and Mt. Hood Community College in Gresham, Oregon to complete her associates in science degree. Thereasa loved people and doing for others. She had a vast career that included retail manager of Toys Galore, volunteer firefighter in Columbia Gorge, Oregon, and medical caregiver at Washakie Medical Center in Worland, Wyoming to list a few.
Thereasa married William Lloyd Humphrey Jr. on January 30, 1990, in Olympia, Washington. They celebrated with a second ceremony in the Greek Orthodox church in Worland, Wyoming where she lived most of her life. Thereasa and Lloyd had two sons, Kevin Allen Humphrey and Zachary Aden Humphrey which were her greatest accomplishment. She loved them dearly to include her grandbabies and talked about them nonstop.
She enjoyed shopping no matter when, where, or why; camping in Hyattville, Wyoming; rock hunting in the badlands and spending as much time as she could at the beach. She would spend hours walking the beach feeling the sand between her toes gathering rocks, shells, and anything worth saving, which was everything. It was her happy place that brought her much peace. She enjoyed cooking and was always trying to find new ways to give old recipes a new twist. She loved flowers and always had vases of fresh stems around her home.
Thereasa will be missed by those who loved and cherished her. Her laughter was infectious and her eyes sparkled with mischief. She was blessed with the "gift of conversation" and could talk to those she enjoyed for hours on end. Thereasa was always up for fun and enjoyed a good adventure. Her heritage and Greek ancestry was present in her life, as was her family heritage of Christian faith both of which were valued and a significant part of who she was.
Thereasa is survived by her two sons, Kevin Humphrey and Zachary Humphrey, grandchildren: Keaton Humphrey, Liam Humphrey, Xander Humphrey, Logan Craig Ruffing and Damien Humphrey. She is also survived by her significant other, Devon Bivens; father, Frank T. Vilos and mother, Ermina L. Braun, sisters: Deianeirra Kelley and Franceina Brackenbury, and brother, Branden Vilos, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Her family was quite large.
Thereasa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Chris G. and Elizabeth Marie Vilos, Eugene and Ermina Williams, and Frederick William Frost.
