Thomas "Trey" Cottrell Greene Rush III

July 2, 1971 - January 29, 2025

Thomas "Trey" Cottrell Greene Rush III, 53, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Worland, Wyoming on January 29, 2025.

He was born on July 2, 1971, to Thomas Cottrell Greene II and Debra Featherston in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Both of his parents remarried and Trey was adopted by Dr. Richard M. Rush. After a few years, he and his family moved to Rusk, TX, and then to Arkansas where he graduated from Blytheville High School in 1989. Trey lettered in baseball, was a star quarterback, and was well known and loved by his classmates.

Trey was extremely talented and had many hobbies. He was skilled in both athletics and arts. He could draw, build, write, and create just about anything. Trey graduated from college and spent most of his career in finance and mortgage. His favorite activities included talking about his kids, fossil hunting, fishing, and creating new projects. He was musically inclined and had a love for 70's and 80's music. Trey had a charming sense of humor and was a friend to all. He could make anyone feel comfortable and knew just how to make them smile. Overall, he was a caring man who loved deeply.

Trey is survived by his father and step-mother, Thomas Greene II and Jan Greene of Muskogee Oklahoma; Adoptive father, Richard M. Rush of Worland, Wyoming; Daughter, Hannah Rush of Omaha, Nebraska; Son, Caden Rush of Omaha Nebraska; Brother, Jason Greene; Brother Jesse Greene of Portland, OR, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and family who loved him unconditionally.

Trey was preceded in death by his mother, Debra Featherston Rush.
