Obituary

Tyler Benjamin Voyles

June 10, 1986- February 20, 2026

Tyler Benjamin Voyles, 39, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, at his home in Worland, Wyoming, holding his wife's hand and surrounded by the people he loved most.

He was born June 10, 1986, in Gillette, Wyoming, to Danny Nelson and Jerilyn (Newby) Voyles. Tyler grew up in Ten Sleep, Wyoming, on a farm and learned the value of hard work at an early age. After completing his education in Rapid City, he set out to experience all that life had to offer.

A true jack of all trades, Tyler worked as a Wildland Sawyer, in the oil fields, in construction, and eventually found his calling as a plumber. He enjoyed his time with Wyoming Mechanical before proudly starting his own business, Quality Plumbing Services. Shortly after launching his company, Tyler was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma.

During this challenging part of life, he met the love of his life, Marilyn Kennedy. They were married in September of 2023 and spent the next two and a half years courageously fighting for every possible chance at remission. Together, they traveled countless miles to Huntsman Cancer Institute in Salt Lake City, to Texas, and anywhere else that offered hope. Even during treatments and long drives, Tyler made sure to stop and fish whenever he could, cherishing every moment with Marilyn. He faced his illness with strength, grit, and an unshakable spirit.

Tyler loved the outdoors. Fishing was his greatest passion, but he also enjoyed hunting, camping, riding side-by-sides, and taking motorcycle rides with his Whyteknot family. He never passed up an opportunity to sing karaoke and was always ready for a good time.

He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Outgoing and honest, Tyler wasn't afraid to speak his mind. Above all, he was a fighter until his very last breath.

Tyler was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Curtis Newby; paternal grandmother, Ruth Storm-Voyles; aunt, Lori Strozzi; and stepmother, Laura Voyles.

He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; maternal grandmother, Carole Newby; mother, Jeri (Rick) Eason of Gillette, Wyoming; father, Danny Voyles; stepfather, George Smith of Ten Sleep, Wyoming; sons, Trenton Keuntjes, Ivan Keuntjes, Jaykob Keuntjes, and Thomas West, all of Worland; daughters, Sullie Ann Keuntjes (Andrew Drake), Oakley Voyles, and Chevelle Voyles, all of Worland; and sister, Miranda Voyles (Ryan Bailey) of Gillette, Wyoming.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Worland.

Memorial donations may be made to the Tyler Voyles Working Man Scholarship Fund to assist students pursuing trade school education. Checks may be sent to P.O. Box 524, Worland, Wyoming 82401. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
