Obituary Vesta Mae Voss November 16, 1922 – October 17, 2020 Vesta Mae Voss, 97, passed away on October 17, 2020 at the Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin, Wyoming. Vesta was born on November 16, 1922 in Worland, WY to Rolland George "Slim" and Isa Mae (Wilson) Chenoweth. Vesta attended school in Worland graduating from WHS in 1941. She married Paul Patrick Voss on January 1, 1943. To this union 4 children were born, Linda, Rolland, Paula and Trinna. The family farmed near Manderson until 1965 when they relocated to Phoenix, AZ. It was in Phoenix that Vesta attended classes for Cake Decorating. She found joy in creating beautiful cakes for all occasions. She also found a love for quilting, even making many quilts out of old neckties. The family moved back to Wyoming in 1979, residing in Powell for about 10 years before returning to Worland around 1989. When Vesta's health started failing in 2011, she moved to the Wyoming Retirement Center in Basin. Vesta's faith was most important to her, she attended the Baptist Church in Manderson for many years and kept in touch with her Bible Study groups through the years. When her children were young, she taught them the importance of church attendance. It did not matter what still needed done on the farm, they were attending church together every Sunday. In her later years, she would listen to scriptures on tape, feeling the constant need for spiritual nourishment. Her family was her life. She was always so thrilled to have the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren come visit. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul; daughter and son-in-law, Linda (Howard) Franzen; brothers, Rolland, Loren and Robert Chenoweth. Survivors include her son, Rolland "Ron" (Cindy) Voss of Worland; daughters, Paula Lewis of Sun City, AZ and Trinna Voss of Powell, WY; grandchildren: Brian (Stephanie) Voss, Rhonda (Wyatt) Molzahn, Terrie (Jeff) Yule, Colleen (Terry) Franklin; 9 Great-grandchildren: Tucker (Ally) Molzahn, McCoy and Teegan Molzahn; Cody (Alyssa) Keller, Logan and Carley Yule, Elizabeth and Luke Voss, Christopher Franklin; and 3 great-great-grandchildren, Holden, Lucas and Axell. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family inurnment will take place later this fall.
