William "Bud" Edward Arnold

William Edward "Bud" Arnold of Basin, Wyoming passed away October 7, 2024, at St. Vincent Healthcare in Billings, Montana, in the arms of his loving wife Kathy.

Bud was born to William T. and Georgia R. (Garoutte) Arnold on September 29,1943, in Worland, Wyoming. He was the grandson of Ten Sleep pioneer families, Jacobs and Arnolds. He graduated from Manderson-Hyattville High School in 1961. He married the love of his life, Kathy Morstad on September 4, 1988, in Elko, Nevada. She was the one he felt most at ease with and they enjoyed their relationship to the fullest.

Bud was passionate about farming, animals, and the Wyoming way of life, and he was very successful at what he did. He was honored by being in the Great Western Sugar High Ten Growers several years in the 70's and in the top growers for Holly Sugar. He was also recognized as a top barley producer by Budweiser. In recent years he and Kathy enjoyed running a cow-calf operation along with raising alfalfa. The couple also enjoyed team roping, entering numerous endurance races across the country with their horses.

Bud is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Kathy, his beloved dog Chancy, sister Barb VanMatre of Green River, cousin, Laverna Kestner of New Mexico and sister-in-law, Suzanne Morstad of Basin.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at the Basin First Baptist Church with Pastor Aaron Gesch officiating. Burial will follow at the Ten Sleep Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.bryantfuneralhomeonline.com.
